Grinding service
Resharpening and minor repairs
With our sharpening service, we'll restore your knives to their desired sharpness. The service includes professional resharpening and minor repairs such as small nicks on the blade.
For ISSHO TABERU knives, this service is free. For other brands, we charge CHF 1.50 per centimeter of blade length.
Repair service
Professionally restore geometry
For larger repairs, we work with a trained knifesmith in Switzerland who also learned directly from our smiths in Japan. This service is intended for knives that require more than just sharpening, for example, in cases of damaged geometry, significant chipping, or when the blade needs to be expertly restored.
The costs are based on effort and are assessed individually by our partner.
Sanding Workshop
Learn how to properly sharpen Japanese knives
In our 1.5-hour workshop, we'll demonstrate how to properly resharpen Japanese knives using waterstones. We'll explain the differences between European and Japanese knives, their construction, and what's important for their care, sharpness, and cutting performance.
The workshop includes drinks and small snacks, costs CHF 99, and also contains a CHF 50 voucher for our webshop.
