STEAK KNIFE

ISSHO TABERU steak knives were exclusively developed in Japan for ISSHO TABERU. They bring Japanese precision to a place where it is otherwise rarely found: the dinner table.

With 69 layers of Damascus steel and the same blade quality as our most popular Damascus knives, they combine exceptional sharpness with a clean, elegant cutting performance for enjoyable moments. That's what makes them so special. They are not a sideline, but a conscious translation of Japanese blade quality into a Western context.

Whoever chooses this line opts for precision, quality, and the same uncompromising standards that define ISSHO TABERU in the kitchen.

Frequently Asked Questions about Steak Knives

What differentiates these steak knives from ordinary steak knives?

They feature the same 69-layer damascus blade with a special VG10 core (63 HRC) as the Damascus line and were exclusively developed for ISSHO TABERU in Seki: Japanese blade quality for the final cut on the plate.

2-pack or 4-pack, which fits?

The 2-piece set is suitable for couples or as a starter set, the 4-piece set for a set table with guests. Both are available with rosewood or blackwood handles.

Are the steak knives rustproof?

Yes. They feature the same rust-resistant 69-layer Damascus blade as the Damascus line and are easy to care for. Rinsing and drying by hand is sufficient.

How do I care for the wooden handles?

Clean the rosewood or blackwood handles by hand, dry them, and occasionally treat them with a little mineral oil. This will keep the wood beautiful.

Are the steak knives dishwasher safe?

No. Even rust-resistant Japanese knives should be hand-washed and dried immediately. Dishwashers can damage the blade, edge, and wooden handle.
